Well, it's official. I just applied for a job. Yeah, I know I said less than 2 weeks ago that I would never work a desk job, but if you haven't figured it out by now, I change my mind quite often. Anyhow, I stumbled across an ad for a real estate assistant to an REO broker, so I thought it might be a good idea to check it out since I'm about to go broke again (never asked for that loan from my friend). It is actually a salaried position, too, so it would be guaranteed money. Not a lot, but better than what I am making now (nothing). I just spent 3 hours working on a resume that is basically completely fraudulent, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't stand much of a chance if I was honest. Not that being able to pour 17 shots in less than 30 seconds isn't a highly sought after skill in the real estate industry- I just think that having " excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills" sounds better. That, and "being able to handle multiple assignments under high pressure and being able to consistently meet tight deadlines." White lies aren't bad are they? Especially when your survival is at stake. Actually, I think I did a pretty good job, even if it is mostly fabricated. I would hire myself if I was looking for an assistant.
I still haven't heard back from the guy who called me Friday w the house for sale. Dang it.
Costa Rica is still on my mind
