I did absolutely no work this weekend. Nothing. No ads on Craigslist, no offers, no scouring the mls like a crack head until 3am. I took the weekend off, lounged around, and listened to my new Jack Johnson cd (available at your friendly neighborhood Starbucks).
Tonight, I went to see a movie with my friend Jeff. If any of you guys are contemplating suicide, and want to take a crack at death by boredom, might I suggest heading out to your local cinema and watching this excruciatingly drawn out snooze fest. I would have walked out after the first half hour if I were by myself, but, since the movie was Jeff's idea, and I didn't want to hurt his feelings, I sat there in irritated misery the entire 2 hours and some odd minutes, cursing to myself under my breath the whole time.
I'm pretty sure there were some underlying messages in the movie that I just didn't get because I was too busy being bored to effing tears. It kind of reminded me of being forced to read Shakespeare in Honors English in high school, and wanting to commit suicide while the rest of the class spent the entire hour dissecting a single paragraph.
Other than that, I had a great weekend doing absolutely nothing.

I wholeheartedly disagree with this post. Daniel Day-Lewis' performance was a masterpiece. The final third of the movie went off track but it was still a great movie IMO.
My wife and I almost went to see this movie yesterday... glad we didn't
Chris,
I've talked to other people who thought it was great.
I could barely keep my eyes open, though.
Maybe it's one of those that I have to watch a few times before I like it- like, The English Patient (I walked out of that one the first time I saw it). Now it's one of my favorites.
Sounds like me watching all 3 Pirates of the Carribean movies. Each time, a friend asked me to go, and they ended up loving it. I actually fell asleep during all 3 Pirates movies. I honestly don't get it. What is so interesting about those movies? OK, Johnny Depp is a funny pirate. Anything else? You won't catch me at #4. ;)
