The Chronicles of Shady

5/12/2008

Wow this Shady character is really something else...

After disappearing for the last day and a half, Slim resurfaced again today, called my friend who has the contract on this property, and made arrangements to meet @ 3pm to sign the contract and give his deposit (this is at least the 5th time he has done this). 3pm comes and goes, and Shady of course does not show up. He then sends my friend a TEXT (because he is too much of a P-U-S-S-Y to call), asking if he can get another copy of the contract faxed to his "attorney" because he accidentally lost the one that was sent over the weekend. Right. So, my friend says no, he's not faxing anything until he meets up with Shady and his mysterious "partner" and their mysterious "attorney" face to face. (We pretty much came to the conclusion that Shady and his "partner" are one in the same, and his "attorney" is most likely make-believe, also). Shady's response, of course, was that he needed to call his partner and he would call right back. Still waiting...

At this point, we realize that this fucking loser is never going to close on the deal, but we're hoping to get a 2k deposit out of him that he will most likely walk away from. We're even thinking of dropping the price down to 46k or something (he's buying it for 60k), just to get a deposit out of him, because we know he will never close.

Nothing would please me more than to take this idiot's money.

Where do these people come from, anyway?

I think all these idiots come from the same place. If anybody ever figures out where that place is we can bomb it!!

Sounds like you need to pull the plug on this guy and not even try to do any business with him anymore. Talk about a waste of time!

Steph,
I think we come from "beginner landia". I'm not sure why this shady character keeps doing it constantly. But I am guilty of doing it once!

It was for a rental property by the downtown area, and I email the guy whom I got the lead from. I told him "I have a guy (not partner, which was me), that is interested in buying the property". I did it because, one, I wanted to get a "feel" for this investing stuff, and two, because I was "thinking" of remodeling and holding for cash flow. At the end it resulted in nothing more than just waste of time. But I HAVE NEVER DONE IT SINCE AND WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN.

Again, the place is "beginner landia", I think it's located after the forums intersection exit off I-95.

Hi Jared- I definitely will never do business with this guy again, that's for sure...Would like to see him lose his deposit, though, just for fun.

Ed- This guy has been screwing around for 4 days now. And, apparently, he's been around longer than I have (I've been asking around about him the last couple of days), and this seems to be his M.O.

Nice to see he's living up to his name. :)

Hey Steph, i found your blog from you responding to one of my post on real estate investor. I am glad i have come to your blog. It puts me to shame since i blog very rarely and when i do its mainly a sales pitch.

I think you should indeed take the deposit money if the shady bastard is trying play in the big league. Spending unnecessary money on deal he won't close is surely a lesson from the school of hard knocks.
