So, I've decided to try a new tactic to get the bank's title companies to get my deals closed on time: BRIBERY.
I'm going to try it out on both of the deals I have going right now and see what happens. Once the file gets assigned to a processor, when I call to introduce myself, I'm going to tell them I pay $200 if the deal gets closed on time. I think that should be incentive enough to get my deals pushed to the front of the line- don't you think?
I'll let you know how it goes over.....

P.S.
Let's keep this strategy on the DL. Wink wink.

Steph,
I've been 'tipping' title company reps, etc, for years, when things close on time.
After the first tip, all deals going thru certain offices get prompt attention.
Good luck with it.
I am sort of waiting for someone to post up/comment on this being shady, or unethical.
I've heard that before.
But, as a former bartender, let me ask you.........the guy who is paying $20 for a $5 drink and says keep the change, just might get prompt service for his next, right?
Hope it works out for you,
Jim
I will keep you guys posted...
Jim- my thoughts exactly. Money talks :)
Steph,
I have been doing this for quite a while - sending gifts, thank you cards etc. On one deal the title rep did my title work in 3 hours flat - ent to the court house and all. I closed on a deal in like four to five hours from contract. It works
