Today was not good.
Mrs. Hancock decided to stop taking my calls, the bank will not give me another extension, and we are supposed to close tomorrow. Good times.
The other deal that was supposed to close a week ago is probably never going to get to closing. The assholes at the bank's title company will not return phone calls, and no one knows what is going on from one day to the next . Same old story. Blah, blah blah, I want to head down to Ft. Lauderdale with a bat...blah, blah, blah. You've heard it all before.
Oh, and I'm writing this post from one of the computers on the 8th floor of Skypoint, because my computer is FRIED!
AWESOME!
P.S.
No- I did not back up my files, and yes, they are all gone. Woohoo!

Frickin Mrs. Hancock. What a shithead.
Sorry to hear about your rut Steph. I'm sending some good vibes your way...
Thanks guys.
Gotta take the good with the bad, I guess...
Steph
Steph,
I feel your pain.
We had two short sales set to close this week..........and then yesterday, both lenders notified us that our previously approved short sales were now on hold 'pending further review'.
Basically with the credit markets in a mess with this bailout thing in Washington, lenders are even more unsure of what moves to make.
Stinks big time.
As far as the data on your computer, take the computer to a shop and have them take out your hard drive.
They should be able to recover some if not all of your personal data for you and put it on another computer/hard drive for you.
Try Geek Squad, they helped me save some data on a crashed laptop hard drive last year...........thank goodness.
Keep your head up,
Jim
Hi Jim,
Sorry to hear about your short sales. I know how frustrating it is..
I'm learning that I need to have about 10 deals going at once or else I am going to go broke. It's a total crapshoot as to whether anything will close, and not because I don't have quality buyers (well, except for Mrs. Frickin Hancock), but because the banks are so incredibly slow and inefficient.
I just keep making my offers lower and lower to compensate. I'm now making offers on 3 bedroom concrete block homes in the 30's, if you can believe that...
Take care, and thanks for stopping by,
Steph
