I decided today that I need to keep better track of my marketing efforts. I came up with a sheet to fill out every day. I call it the "What I Did Today to Find a Deal" sheet . It has blanks to fill in for each type of marketing I do (or don't do) each day. Here's what today's sheet looks like: Today I made 19 calls to sellers, sent out 17 postcards, put out 10 signs, added 1 cash buyer to my buyers list, made 0 offers (that one is painful to type). I think it will be very helpful to look at this at the end of every day. It will motivate me to do more if I know I have to put it down on paper at the end of each day and look at it. Also, it will give me something to aim for each day- try to do a little better than the day before.
I had some other non-real estate related garbage to deal with today that took up a good part of my time.
I got two leads today, one was another sinkhole home (that's 2 in one week), the other lady wanted full market value.
I got two decent leads from the phone calls I made today. Will follow up with offers tomorrow.
I got lost again on the way home from putting out signs.
I got chased by an armadillo while I was running tonight. This has nothing at all to do with my real estate endeavors, but I thought it was pretty funny. It made me laugh, anyway.
