I was supposed to go over to a friend's parent's house today to watch golf (I have no interest in golf, though), but decided I needed to catch up with some mailings that I have slacked off on. I really need to work on keeping my marketing up no matter what. I tend to lose focus when things are going wrong, or a deal is falling apart (which is most of the time). I was able to get about 40 letters in the mailbox.
I spent some time today listening to one of the "Masters of the Secret" audios . I find this stuff incredibly interesting. I have been trying to spend a little bit of time each day on what I call "mindset training." I am working hard on changing the way I think about myself and my business. I have really started to take a serious look at the things I focus on and think about throughout the day. I find that when I let my mind wander, I am almost always thinking of negative things. I guess it is how I have programmed my brain, and haven't taken any notice until recently. Big mistake, I think. They should teach this stuff in elementary school. Seriously.
Tomorrow I should find out if this deal is going to close. It really needs to.
I got a call from a seller this morning at 7:33 am. On a Sunday. She's selling a moblie home, which I really am not interested in, but have a friend who loves them. She's only asking $4500 for it, and I bet my friend ends up making some sort of crazy terms deal with her- that's his specialty. He comes up with these creative deals that make my head spin. Very smart, young guy. He'll be giving seminars one day, mark my words.
I got a call yesterday from a guy who is selling a mobile home park. I had no idea what sort of questions to be asking besides how much do you want for it, so I just took his info and am going to call tomorrow after I talk with someone who can give me some direction.
