I still can't believe it's September already. I'm approaching my one year anniversary of being a wholesaler. I think I got that first property under contract sometime last September, then closed on it in October. Seems like 20 years ago. I think if I had a crystal ball I might have held on to that stupid bartending job until I knew what I was doing. But, I have always liked to do things the hard way, so I guess it's fitting. Maybe one day I will look back on this and say I'm glad I did it this way, but for now I just think I was an idiot for going full time with only a couple deals under my belt. Damn hindsight.

Anywho, yesterday I went and hung out w my friend who is moving to CR. She's leaving Saturday (pushed her trip back a few weeks). Airfare is dirt cheap right now (like 220 bucks for a ticket), so I am going to try and fly down for a weekend as soon as I can to check things out. When I say, "as soon as I can," I really mean, "as soon as I close a deal and have some extra money." The more I learn about CR, the more I want to go. Keep in mind that I am a flower child at heart (not the kind that wears Birkenstocks and doesn't shower), so I think I will fit in quite well. Did you know there are no capital gains taxes there? I didn't. Here's some more interesting info: http://www.escapeartist.com/OREQ17/Costa_Rica.html

How hard could it be to sell paradise to rich American speculators? Like taking candy from a baby, I would think.

I have 4 deals going right now that could potentially make me money. Not a lot, but a few grand here, and a few grand there. Two are subject-to deals that I'm hoping the mortgage guys will take, and two are wholesale. Two of the deals (one wholesale, and one subject-to), I am working with the investor I told you about so I will be splitting the profit w him. I met up w him yesterday at Starbuck's to go over some stuff. I thought it would be a good idea to forget my purse at Starbuck's. I didn't realize it until I got home, but it was too late. Some jerk-off took it. Good thing I don't have any money to put in it. They made off with my favorite perfume, though, and my cell charger, and the gift my sister got me for being in her wedding.

I will be watching my boyfriends Andy Roddick and Roger Federer play tennis today.
